1. Get REAL Identification – Novel COVID extended the deadline for implementation of the REAL identification program enacted in 2005 to set standards for the issuance of sources of identification and implementing regulations establishing minimum security standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and identification cards. The REAL ID Act prohibits federal agencies, like TSA, from accepting licenses and identification cards from states that do not meet these standards for official purposes, such as getting through the airport security checkpoint to board a plane. Initially set to expire on October 2020, implementation of the act has been effectively delayed until October 2021 due to the pandemic.
2. Consult Trusted Advisor – Navigating the world of travel is a task left to the experts. Did you know that certified travel consultants are required to have over 250 hours of training in the travel industry? Shopping for the best travel deals on internet on sites such as Expedia Cruises can be personalized by a trusted travel agent. But remember, you get what you pay for. Discount travel sites are unable to offer assistance from a trusted travel agent. Many people who chose to go it alone found traveling through a pandemic without the expertise of a travel consultant confusing and costly. Travel consultants aided hundreds of thousands of travelers get back home before they were unable to. The training travel consultants receive gives them access to travel resources dedicated to safe tourism around the world we all share.
3. Pack Your Bags – Travel bags come in all shapes and sizes, but the best travel bags should serve many purposes. Bags designed for one purpose typically have one large opening void of compartments or pockets for storage allowing small items like cell phones, keys, and sunglasses to immediately fall to the bottom. A recommended travel bag allows for easy organization for storage and location of these frequently used small items and is easily stack-able on rolling carry-on luggage providing you with one item to stow-a-way and the best travel bag under the seat in front of you and easily accessible to all your small items. For city travel, I love carrying a backpack style bag with pockets; and for my self care weekend getaways, I carry my favorite travel wander bag.
Get Your ZzzzzZzZs – Don’t let lack of sleep ruin your dream vacation. Minimize interrupted sleep while traveling by packing a versatile bed pillow. Wherever you travel, the bed is not your bed and the pillows are not your pillows. Sleeping comfortably may be maximized by a travel friendly comfort like the one I travel with called the Best Sleep Pillow. Able to accommodate all types of sleepers, the Best Sleeping Pillow allows comfort for back sleepers, side sleepers, even stomach sleepers due to the comforting contour supports for the head, neck and shoulders.
